Klippen’s cottage village is located on a mountain slope between E12 and Umeälven.

The village was built in the 1980s near the E12 (Blå vägen).
Hemavan/Tärnaby winter sports center is 9 km from the cottage village. The facility has 30 slopes for downhill skiing with varying degrees of difficulty. There is a snowmobile trail connection from the cottages to the municipality’s trail network. Read more at Hemavan-Tärnaby Alpine.

In summer you can enjoy hiking in the mountains. The famous Kungsleden hiking trail starts in Hemavan and goes all the way to Abisko. Autumn offers mushroom and berry picking with e.g. cloudberries and a good supply of chanterelles. For those interested in fishing, there are opportunities both in winter and summer.
